Lotus Outreach Welcomes Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, and Other Appreciated Assets
When you give stock to Lotus Outreach, you show support for our programs while benefiting from significant tax savings. You will receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full current value of appreciated assets assuming you have held them for at least one year.

When you give this way, the increase in value is not subject to the capital gains tax. For example, if you donate stock that you originally bought for $5,000 and it is now worth $7,000, you are entitled to a charitable deduction of the full $7,000, and pay no taxes on the $2,000 gain. Your gift of this kind will allow Lotus Outreach to help even more people work their way out of poverty and exploitation.
