Hibiscus Tea Art Print

$40.00$120.00

Hibiscus Tea by Manuja Waldia printed on 100% cotton rag acid free archival paper with a bright finish and smooth texture

Hibiscus Tea is a painting celebrating the spirit of sharing. A central theme of Manuja’s artwork is women gathering together and uplifting each other. “I am enamored with creating safe spaces of camaraderie and sisterhood devoid of the male gaze. These are drawn from memory, photographs or imagined experiences I have shared with my family and friends or wish to manifest for us,” Manuja told us. Her work reflects the importance of empowering women to build a thriving community. As women and girls gain confidence, self-esteem, and initiative, they inspire change in their sisters, friends, families, and societies; cultural norms shift and communities are transformed.

We are delighted and moved to feature Manuja Waldia as our third Art for LO Artist. Manuja has generously dedicated the proceeds from these limited edition print orders to the girls and young women who are beneficiaries of LO programs in education, training, and care.

Art for LO brings community together around art that responds to the question, Why Girls?, in the spirit of reform, change, social justice, and environmental action.
